Intelligent agricultural technologies contribute significantly to the sustainability of food in the 21st century. In plants using controlled environmental agricultural technology, artificial light control, and all environmental factors such as humidity, temperature, gases, fertilization can be controlled. The purpose of this technology is to ensure that the production is carried out in a closed structure, that the crop is preserved throughout its development and that the conditions for optimal growth are maintained. Because of its effect on the development of plants, it is known that light is one of the most important external factors for plants.
The growth of seeds has been viewed in a Dakota cabinet which has been converted to a smart farming environment with a hydroponic system, peltiers, sensors, fans, thermos tanks, Arduino MEGA, LED-WS2812B, computer tower, and cameras. The growth of our plants was observed at four different light settings(red, blue, purple, and light provided by imitating sunlight) and 20℃ air temperature. When the system is started, the computer can control the Arduino, take images with the camera, and save the values. In our control group that we have grown under normal conditions, it was observed that they were damaged by insects and dried during their development. On the other hand, the plants grew healthy, and in a short time in the smart greenhouse, we have designed. Its portability will enable it to be easily exhibited in the agriculture-related campuses around our school and reach many.
